Manager, Reimbursement (Greenwich Hospital)

Reports to Corporate Director of Reimbursement. Responsible for the management of the hospital reimbursement function, including accounting, analytic, technical, regulatory and information systems support. Manages the annual cost report preparation, supporting documentation, filings and audits. Facilitates the successful resolution of cost report appeals and settlements and maintains good relationships with outside auditors. Serves as technical expert on reimbursement matters to Hospital and System senior management. Participates in monthly and annual financial statement preparation related to net revenue and supports annual public accounting audit of same. Assures the accuracy and accountability of reported reimbursement information to the public and governmental agencies. Supports special audits as required. Supports the efforts of the Hospital Business Office in accurate and timely billing and cash collections. Responsible for the management of the hospital chargemaster maintenance, update and development and manages associated revenue enhancement projects. Oversees chargemaster accuracy and integrity. Leads multi-disciplinary work groups on projects associated with Reimbursement, Chargemaster and revenue enhancement. Manages the work of others on numerous, simultaneous projects. Oversees consultants engaged in relevant projects, as required. Supports and enhances the compliance effort of the Hospitals and the System.
B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Health Care Administration, Mathematics, Information Systems or similar field is required. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.Seven years’ experience in health care finance, reimbursement, public or other accounting, auditing, budget, compliance, billing, coding, direct clinical care or insurance required with progressive responsibility in accountability, leadership, supervision, and project management.*Will be bi-locatedat bothGreenwich and New Haven - will require travel between both hospitals.**
