Our Valuation Services practice features a vast network of professionals in the U.S. through Deloitte FAS and the other Deloitte U.S. entities, and abroad through the DTT member firms and their affiliates. We possess seamless delivery capabilities, deep financial and accounting acumen and robust industry experience. Our Valuation professionals help companies define, measure and articulate the value of their assets by providing independent and well-supported valuations.  We help clients to properly quantify and articulate values for taxation, transaction, financing, litigation, and strategic management purposes. We understand the requirements associated with the development of value conclusions under GAAP, tax, and regulatory rules that allow companies to understand the value of an entity, asset, or liability so they can make informed business and investment decisions.  Key services include: Business Valuation, Engineering & Depreciation Advisory, Equipment Advisory, Construction
Advisory, Real Estate Financial Advisory, Lease Advisory, Dispute Resolution Support, and Reorganization Advisory Support.
 Se who will lead tangible asset valuation assignments as part of our full service valuation team.  These projects have been performed for the purposes of allocation of purchase price, financial reporting, tax compliance, and insurance purposes.
 
Our Detroit Valuation Services practice is currently seeking a Machinery and Equipment Valuation Services Senior Associate who will help assist the tangible asset valuation assignments as part of our full service valuation team.  These projects have been performed for the purposes of allocation of purchase price, financial reporting, tax compliance, and insurance purposes.
Qualifications:
2- 5 years of machinery & equipment valuation, personal property valuation, and/or fixed asset management projects
 Purchase price allocation (SFAS 141) and goodwill impairment testing (SFAS 142) experience
 Experience determining
the fair value of tangible property for financial reporting and/or tax purposes
 Experience estimating replacement cost, new and actual cash value of tangible property for insurance purposes
 Demonstrated ability to structure and perform financial consulting projects, manage client expectations and relationships, and participate in client presentations
 Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
 Experience in a professional services or construction firm strongly preferred
 BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred; MBA in Finance a plus
