Lending Manager

BELLCO CREDIT UNION has an exciting opportunity for a LENDING MANAGER.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Manage the Lending Department by:

-Driving the unit toward credit union-wide and department goals.

-Developing and coaching staff in accomplishing the goals.

-Making business decisions (within the appropriate authority level) to keep

the unit and department profitable and efficient.

-Maintaining general supervisory activities including staffing, hiring,

promotions, transfers, training and salary recommendations.

-Ensuring timely resolution of problems

-Analyzing call center data to determine if member needs and

access are being met.

·Improve efficiency within the department by:

-Analyzing methods, systems and staffing and recommending adjustments

as needed.

-Ensuring that all prescribed security, reporting and performance standards

and audit controls are adhered to and taking corrective action when needed

-Providing for and promoting security within the department.

-Monitoring department-operating budgets.

·Achieve sales goals by:

-Actively participating in credit union-wide sales programs.

-Developing loan department sales programs.

-Motivating and coaching staff to sell.

-Reviewing sales activity reports to identify strengths and weaknesses.

-Demonstrating superior sales skills as the department’s lead sales person.
REQUIREMENTS


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial institution or related background and 2 years supervisory/management experience. Minimum two years experience as a level A underwriter or equivalent experience preferred. Several years sales management experience. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates selling proficiency and product knowledge. Prefer telephone/call center management experience.
