Inventory Accountant

About the Inventory Accountant position:
A specialty manufacturer and importer has a need for an inventory accountant. This position is responsible for all inventory accounting for the company.

Duties for the position include maintaining the inventory cost system, reviewing and reporting monthly cost information for closing, maintaining pricing files, working with sales staff on pricing for new customers and products, maintaining Bills of Material, following up on price and quantity discrepancies for purchases, coordinating physical inventories, managing excess and slow moving inventory with purchasing and production.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Inventory Accountant position:
At least 5 years cost accounting experience for manufacturing company
Bachelors degree in accounting
Ability to work independently without the need for daily direct management
Strong accounting system experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
