We offer 8%-10% towards your 401k plan, partial commuting stipend, health, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement and much more!!!!The position is in Washington, DC at our headquarters office, which is very accessible to the metro, and commuter trains.The ideal candidate will recommend to management the necessary controls, policies and procedures to protect Internet infrastructure from intentional or inadvertent destruction or disclosure by both external and internal parties.Analyze and monitor the Internet infrastructure to uncover any security weaknesses and perform necessary investigation for any suspicious activity discovered.Additional responsibilities:
Monitor RealSecure Intrusion Detection software, investigate suspected attacks to determine validity, take appropriate action to terminate, and log findings. Initiate the Computer Security Incident Response if findings warrant.Review the audit logs on all production UNIX servers, the production Winframe and AS5200. Responsible for the creation and deletion of userids on all production UNIX server and the periodic reset of the root password on externally accessible UNIX servers.Perform backups, category download and generate reports for SurfControl, the Internet Monitoring software and database.Perform vulnerability scans against RC's network using various security vulnerability software and periodic modem war dials.Monitor for changes to the production Unix server systems files using Tripwire.Coordinate the quarterly scan performed by ICSA and follow-up with all findings documented in their follow-up report. Coordinate the ICSA recertification process that occurs every two years.Maintain the Checkpoint Firewall rule base.Review changes to the production configuration and access list for all routers.
Evaluate application changes and it's potential impact on the network security posture.
Subscribe to mailing list for security advisories (CERT, Sun and Microsoft) and monitor select hacker web sites for vulnerabilities. Work with other IS departments to determine applicability and implementation of recommended fixes.
Perform other Data Security tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
