An Insurance Licensing Representative acts as a liaison between Financial Advisors and the State Insurance Departments, Insurance Carriers, and other external vendors. Licensing Representative provides the FA with the instructions for getting insurance licensed in each state the FA requests. This includes information on pre-licensing education providers and requirements, applications, fingerprint instructions, and fees. Once the FA is licensed, Licensing Rep facilitates getting the FAs appointed with various insurance carriers (providing FA info to the carrier, enabling FA to sell products). Licensing Rep sends requirements to FA when continuing education courses need to be completed or when address changes need to be made with the states. Rep is responsible for ensuring FA is compliant with all state and company regulations.
Approximately 30% of the day spent on the phones. Heavy paperwork involving reports, application reviews, and faxing information to various insurance companies. Other miscellaneous projects or duties as requested.Skills Required
Bachelor's Degree and/or related experience
