Quantitative research and modeling of CDOs, credit derivatives and new asset classes with strong credit/equity fundamental exposure
Assist in structuring/ customized transactions to meet specific risk-return characteristics, identify relative value and meet capital efficiency goals
Evaluate transactions, analyze portfolios, run quantitative models and produce risk reports. Conduct trading as needed
Proactively monitor portfolio and make trade recommendations
Assist with preparing periodic updates to the investment committee and business leaders
Assist with developing, enhancing, and implementing plans and infrastructure for execution of structured credit and other structured transactionsBasic Qualifications:
College/advanced degree or equivalent, preferably in quantitative area or finance
2-3 years of experience in a quantitative research / trading desk environment
Understanding rating agency modeling and rating processes for structured transactions
Understanding option / derivative pricing and term structure theory and modeling
Strong statistical & analytical skills
Understanding portfolio construction and hedging strategies
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audience
Good written and oral communication skills
High energy, creativity, discipline. Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and work with incomplete information to form and implement decisionsPreferred Candidate Qualifications:
CFA, MBA or equivalent
Structuring, capital markets or trading desk experience
Experience with quantitative credit risk tools such as KMV, RiskMetrics or rating agency models
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and monitor credit portfolio
Experience in international financial markets
