Inland Marine Underwriter

The Chubb Custom Market Commercial Inland Marine Senior Underwriter will Chubb Custom Market's entry into the Commercial Inland Marine classes of business. The person selected will:

- work with the CCM National Property Manager to develop CCM's CIM strategy for ratification by the CCM Branch Managers and CCM Chief Underwriting Officer. This strategy must recognize the differences and realities of the Wholesale distributed products.
- communicate the strategy to the CCM branches
- identify and train selected CCM branch property underwriters in major CIM lines of business
- work with the CCM branches to identify key wholesalers who write inland marine business
- oversee implementation of the CCM CIM strategy and modify as necessary to meet or exceed targets
- actively market CIM products, including CIM Express products, to wholesalers nationwide
- serve as primary underwriting contact between CCM and North American Marine Underwriters ( an MGA handling small inland marine business in a limited geographic area for CCM)
- personally handle a book of transactional CIM business that exceeds branch experience
- serve as primary point of referral for CIM business in the Wholesale Zone.

The requirements for this position are:
A minimum of seven years of commercial inland marine underwriting experience, a proven track record of profitability, a proven track record of growth, a thorough knowledge of Builders Risk, Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability, Transit/Trip Transit, Contractors Equipment and other target CIM classes, an understanding of Primary Loss Limits, Excess Layers, and participating policies and an understanding of Chubb Apex and Express product systems is a plus. Knowledge of the wholesale distribution channel is desirable but not required. This position can be in either Downtown NY, Los Angeles or Dallas.

A bachelors degree is preferred.
