IT project manager



Key responsibilities are to work with the business and partner IT teams to plan the release, align business needs with technology deliverables, facilitate production of high-level design and functional specs, coordinate activities across sub teams in our team and other affected teams, develop and lead execution of comprehensive development, test, performance measurement/tuning, deployment, and support training plans, and negotiate scope/timeline adjustments with partners/stakeholders. Foster excellent business and external IT team communications and planning.



Bottom line- support major business goals by delivering exceedingly high-quality software on time, on budget, with agreed scope.



This role requires the detail-oriented analytical skills of a seasoned PM, as well as the business acumen and communication skills needed to work effectively across partner IT teams, project team members and levels of management. PMI certification, a keen understanding of Fortune 500-class eBusiness solutions, and knowledge of some if not all key technologies (i.e., J2EE, Oracle, Java, Weblogic) are major pluses for this role.

Musts


Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Highly prefer Masters or graduate degree.



Must have experience of managing multiple medium/large and multiple full life cycle projects at a Fortune 500-size enterprise.



Demonstrated success in motivating and communicating with a variety of individuals and groups, across a variety of geographical and cultural boundaries. Experience in leading virtual global teams.



Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written at all levels of the organization including executives.



Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.



Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the theory of project management and project management tools (PMI Certification, MS-Project or Teamplay expertise, etc).



Proactive and positive attitude; able to work in a changing and dynamic environment



Leadership qualities: Integrity, enthusiastic, timeline sensitive, goal oriented, motivator

Hands on experience in architecturing, development, testing, evaluation, and implementation of IT applications
