The Business Management Group is the "horizontal" component of US IT, charged
with 1) connecting IT with the business and 2) running IT as a business. We
are a relatively small team of diverse business and IT professionals organized
in 5 key areas: IT Strategy and Planning, Business Processes, Portfolio
Management, Communications, and Compliance. Our charter requires individuals
who are comfortable navigating the grey while building strong relationships and
maintaining a results-oriented focus. Our objectives include driving
discipline, agility and continuous improvement via IT business practices and
their effective implementation on a cross-functional basis.Methodology is a critical component of US IT’s Run the Business activities.
The continued adoption of consistent IT methodologies is critical to delivering
US IT’s commitment to discipline, agility, and continuous improvement.
Dedicated leadership is needed to sustain our existing progress and develop the
roadmap that will enable capabilities to keep pace with business requirements.The IT Methodology Manager must establish strategic focus on key methodologies,
set priorities, coordinate the process improvement efforts for our development
and infrastructure deployment lifecycles, and lead the CMM certification
effort. Over time the methodology team’s agenda will also expand to pursue
requirements in additional domains, potentially encompassing process
management, governance, ITIL, and CoBiT.The IT Methodology Manager has management responsibility for a team with
accountability for translating strategic business goals into operational
strategies and work plans.
Works with sponsors and other stakeholders outside the function to achieve
cross-functional goals.
Applies advanced and comprehensive functional knowledge to resolve complex
issues.
Develops and implements changes to processes.
Regularly interacts with Firm management.
Leads complex projects or initiatives which impact a function, office,
region/cluster and may have responsibility for decisions that may affect them.
Own the core US IT Methodologies, with responsibility for anticipating future
requirements and managing the continuous improvement lifecycle
Lead the US IT Methodology program, with responsibility for setting
priorities, anticipating future requirements, and managing the continuous
improvement lifecycle
Lead the CMM certification efforts and the enhancement of our development and
deployment lifecycles
Develop methodology requirements in strategic domains, including process
management, governance, ITIL, and CoBiT.
Maintain and communicate business management policies and procedures.
Support the US Firm's strategic imperatives with a focus on aligning
Methodology activities to best deliver on US IT, Shared IFS, and business
priorities.
Promote cross-functional effectiveness, perform meaningful and
business-critical work, and deliver value and innovation for the overall
success of US IT and PwC.
Support a continuously improving environment by contributing to the problem
management process and ensuring execution of corrective actions assigned to
the team
Be aware and knowledgeable of critical issues, opportunities, and constraints
impacting US IT and it’s stakeholders
Develop and strengthen relationships within US IT and with key stakeholders
to strengthen US IT’s connection to the business. Listen to and understand
the objectives and requirements of US IT's stakeholders. Translate those key
objectives and requirements into actions. Communicate those actions to the
appropriate owner(s) in US IT.
Report to the IT Executive team on issues as needed.
Ensure that potential compliance issues are identified, ownership is
transferred as appropriate, and a solution is employed
Serve as a role model and mentor, uphold the Firm's values, exhibit ethical
behavior, and share knowledge and expertise.

REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Four year degree in any business or technical area or equivalent experience is
preferred plus six or more years relevant work experience.Essential Requirements:
7+ years as a practitioner of process and methodology implementations
5+ years of project and program management experience
5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experienceMust demonstrate productivity, initiative, professionalism, customer service
attitude, attention to detail and quality, ability to multitask, team focus,
strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and
adherence to firm and US IT standard operating procedures.
