IT Enterprise QA Automation/ Performance Manager

We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Automations Manager to further extend our world class information technology environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Enterprise Application QA, the successful candidate will drive the creation and maintenance of automations for projects and applications that provides custom Customer/Partner Relationship and SAP functionality to internal clients. This candidate will lead a team of professionals which includes QA Engineers, QA intern and QA Analysts working to deploy SAP, Siebel, Reporting and Web Applications.The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing high performing teams to deliver enterprise applications in a fast paced development environment. You will be empowered to deliver and grow your skills as part of an entrepreneurial team.Primary Responsibilities:
Manages and supervises a team of professionals (6 to 10 employees, interns and contractors in total, depending on project load)
Responsible for providing a comprehensive and integrated set of automation and performance testing service to the IT Enterprise Applications organization and the business community.
Responsible for QA deliverables to be on time and within budget. Partners with Project Management and Development teams to ensure project commitments are met. Monitors team performance against targets.
Manages the overall development of application automation and performance testing strategies, including outsource strategies.
Creates process and procedures to adhere to software development best practices.
Identifies, develops and publishes metrics for the group.
Responsible for forecasting team expenses.
Serves as an escalation point for conflicts that cannot be resolved directly by team members, project managers, etc., as well as post production and customer issues.
Identifies and raises issues impeding the progress on projects or effectiveness of the key processes in application development. Takes action to drive timely resolution.
Manages contractor procurement to augment staff and skills where needed.
Fosters effective and open interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
Ensures professional development of staff, balancing professional interests and Autodesk skill requirements. Ensures staff is trained, mentored and developed.
Manages year end performance reviews and makes salary, bonus, and promotion recommendations in conjunction with IT Ent Apps Management.
Engages staff and motivates the team to produce results. Actively coaches, mentors and challenges team members, provides constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Develops and delivers on yearly departmental goals, aligns these goals with overall IT strategies and goals.Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or related Software Engineering environment.
Experience with Mercury Tools (WinRunner, Loadrunner, TestDirector and QuickTest Pro) or equivalent software.
Experience in Siebel Accounts/Contacts modules & testing on SAP adaptors for Accounts sync between Siebel & SAP is an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years of management experience.
Proven track record of managing outsource vendors.
Demonstrable experience in offshore quality assurance is a big plus
Proficiency in releasing enterprise applications a plus
Proven record of delivering products/solutions on-time and on budget.
Proven record of building high performing teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience required.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
