Hourly Trader

Responsibilities: Salaried position. Will be a member of the wholesale energy hourly trading team for short- term energy trading for the ERCOT and West Regions. Position will be based in Houston, TX. This is a shift job, Address & resolve issues relating to Real-Time Trading & Generation Operations
Ability to enter and manage Trade Deal Entries in eternal accounting system Monitor Daily activities and keep updated Logbook data and other information describing incidents or occurrences for review
Be able to understand and follow ERCOT Operating Guides & Protocols and assure that they are followed during Daily Operation
Capability to cross-train within Trading Regions
Coordinating generation operations with dispatch personnel and wholesale market transactions to economically and reliably fulfill wholesale energy obligations;
Maximizing profits in the hourly wholesale energy market;
Work 12 hr shifts to ensure 24 hr coverage of trading desk
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering preferred
Knowledge of commodity trading & ability to understand generation & transmission operations.
Must be performance driven, self-motivated & proactive
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Able to work 12 hour shift work, which includes working nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office and the Internet Preferences Prior experience in hourly trading%%%%
