Global Research Analyst

Brandywine Global Investment Management, LLC seeks to hire a Global Research Analyst to professionally support the Portfolio Managers in their International and Global Equity strategies. The highly motivated research analyst will be responsible for assisting the Portfolio Managers in studies of industry groups and specific securities. The position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented incumbent that is a self-starter who can administer multiple tasks in meeting the requirements of internal policies and procedures and management.

Position Title: Global Research Analyst

Reports to: Portfolio Manager – International and Global Equities
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Functions:

Assist Portfolio Managers in studies of the industry groups and specific securities in support of the International and Global Equity Department.

Responsibilities:
1.Perform duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
2.Provide stock recommendations in both International and U.S. Markets
3.Ensure analyses deliverables to meet business requirements
4.Review, analyze and draw conclusions relating to prospective portfolio company investments and present results to Portfolio Manager
5.Preparation of comparative reports
6.Generate own individual ideas resulting from analysis
7.Periodic meeting with clients/consultants
8.Travel approximately once a quarter

Skills/Abilities:
1.Ability to exercise initiative to define and resolve problems.
2.Strong and proven judgment in the field of securities analysis
3.Credible techniques and skills necessary for investment analysis and research
4.Excellent communication and written skills
5.Ability to quickly prioritize in an ever-changing environment

Experience:
1.Two or more years investment experience or related business experience

Education:
1.Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Economics or Finance
2.CFA helpful but not required
