Global Product Cost & Weight Specialist
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, TransportationFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Job Purpose
Lead the financial development of the global modular locomotive families. Establish and track ACO, weight, and NRE budgets. Develop process to flow ownership of ACO, weight, and NRE targets to sub-systems and COE's. Ensure these processes are followed for global locomotive product developments. Oversee regular Cost, Weight, and NRE roll-ups ensuring programs deliver to established targets. Oversee creation of e-tools to streamline new processes. Utilize Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools/tactics to deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability, producibility of designs and business processes to reduce defects and attain world class levels of qualityEssential Functions
Lead financial development
Establish and track ACO, weight, and NRE budgets
Develop process to flow ownership of ACO and NRE targets
Successful candidates must be either previously BB certified or willing to complete a BB training program on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools/tactics as part of this position.
Oversee creation of e-tools to streamline new processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
BS in Engineering or Finance
Minimum 3 years engineering or finance experience
GB Six Sigma Certification (or certification in a similar quality program)
Eligibility Requirements

Advanced degree(s) in technology, finance, or management
Experience developing e-tools
Six Sigma Training (or training in equivalent quality program)
5+ years experience working in large, matrixed environments
5+ years finance or BOM experience
Experience leading programs, project, or teams
Demonstrated capacity to deliver on commitmentsWork Traits
Self motivated
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
Capacity to train / mentor fellow employees
Excellent communication skills
