Job Responsibilities:Purpose:This position is responsible for managing reporting and accounting. Consolidates, prepares, analyzes and issues periodic financial reports on the status and profitability of SE-NAOD operations and its North American affiliates. Establishes and communicates short and long term financial expectations to senior management, external auditors, banks, governmental organizations and/or stakeholders. Advises management on the development of finance strategies and action plans and drives organizational change management to support finance initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of SE-NAOD's and its affiliates' financial results and future financial expectations to all levels of management. Coordinates with foreign business partners (France, Canada and Mexico) on financial planning, reporting and accounting issues and strategies. Maintains a full understanding of the inter-dependency and cross-functional impacts of SE-NAOD strategies, initiatives and priorities to ensure financial policies are performed efficiently. Reviews and interprets FASB/IFRS standards and applies knowledge to determine information and filings required to track and report differences between U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Corporate standards. Provides ongoing support to Corporate in preparing filings and determining the effect of future FASB and IFRS pronouncements. Manages and develops the direction for the Accounting function, staff and process improvement initiatives for streamlining accounting processes. Manages and implements IFRS standards for SE-NAOD and its affiliates, compliance of accounting systems and integrity of reporting for multiple sets of internal/external accounting books. Acts as the lead interface with external auditors on financial statement audits.
Requirements Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus CPA certification 5-10 years experience in Finance/Accounting principles, Information Systems, SEC/IRS regulations and FASB/IFRS guidelines. Must have management experience and successfully demonstrate the ability to coach and develop employees. Candidate must possess the influence and execution competencies necessary to challenge the business. Position is located in North American Operating Division but relocation mobility is desired for future career growth.Schneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
