Analyst Job Description

A leading Philadelphia-based private equity partnership with approximately $500 million under management is seeking an Analyst to fill a key opening. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor with the prospect for rapid advancement through performance. FB has an opportunistic investment philosophy and has made investments in a wide variety of industries ranging from manufacturing and business services to casinos, winemaking, consumer finance and real estate.

Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
1.An outstanding academic record and degree from a top undergraduate institution (economics, accounting, business or finance background preferred).
2.Two to four years total work experience in private equity, investment banking and/or in public accounting. Preference is for candidates with transaction experience in M&A, High Yield, Leveraged Finance and Acquisition Finance.
3.Significant experience performing complex financial analysis, M&A / leveraged finance modeling, and company valuations, including discounted cash flow and comparable company analyses. Ability to conduct industry research and articulate views on investment alternatives.
4.Must have exceptional written and verbal skills in addition to excellent quantitative analytical skills and training.
5.Must be proactive on projects, demonstrate personal initiative and possess the capability to multi-task. Must be willing to work hard to keep up with a high-energy team based culture.
6.Willingness to relocate to Philadelphia.
Compensation will be market competitive and will include a base salary with a performance-based bonus. Possibility for future equity participation based upon performance. Position is for immediate full time start date.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidate is expected to have exceptional Excel skills, deep knowledge of and experience with financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting. The position also requires strong written and verbal skills, as there will be regular interfacing with senior team members, business owners and managers. The scope of the position will include analysis and due diligence of new investment opportunities and assisting in monitoring portfolio companies.
