Financial Aid Administrator (1851)

The Financial Aid Administrator interviews students applying for financial aid to determine eligibility for assistance.

Key Responsibilities

-Interviews and assists prospective or current students to complete financial aid applications.
-Advises and counsels students on alternative loan programs, as well as communicating with loan co-signers when necessary.
-Tracks student progress on financial packages.
-Analyzes financial packages.
-Confers with outside agencies regarding students’ eligibility for assistance.
-Collects student aid reports from active students.
-Determines eligibility for and tracking of Federal Work-Study awards.
-Conducts entrance and exit interviews with students, advising them providing repayment schedule calculations.
-Contacts students to advise of impending delinquent loan status.
-Completes and analyzes financial reports.

REQUIREMENTS
-High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years experience in financial aid, financial counseling, or collections required.
-Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills, as well as analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
-Evening and Saturday hours required.
-Previous knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs is preferred.
-Must be able to perform multiple tasks under pressure in a fast paced environment.
