Director of Operations

Community Options, Inc., is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities, is currently seeking a Director of Operations. The right candidate will oversee all aspects of national administration, fundraising, training, and public relations activities. This supervisory position is responsible for focusing on initiatives that will reduce expenses and help the organization run efficiently. In addition, this position coordinates all public relations activities and cultivates private and public funding sources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·Oversees all aspects of National headquarters administration including but not limited to supervision of Administrative Assistants and Receptionists, and ensuring efficient mail distribution process.
·Oversees all aspects of Fundraising including development and organization of special events and fundraising initiatives, cultivate and maintain relationships with local community members, and coordination of corporate sponsorships/donations.
·Spearhead business advisory committee.
·Oversees training department including coordination of national training, development of new training curriculum including in-house and executive training.
·Utilize risk management principles to reduce insurance costs.
·Creation and maintenance of training database for use in managing training needs.
·Oversees Public Relations/Recruitment including nationwide recruitment, coordination and approval of press releases, proofing document before print, quarterly newsletter, and website maintenance.
·Ensure that Executive Directors are following budget and program procedures, and providing monthly updates for CEO.
·Handle real estate transactions for sale and purchase of property.
·Provide daily updates to CEO on state of organization.
REQUIREMENTS
