Director of Member Capital Markets Trading

Incumbent will manage the Bank’s strategy and tactics related to pricing, structuring and hedging of member credit sales for community banks. Incumbent will also manage and coordinate product development activities and member education activities related to member use of advance products. Works closely with members of Bank’s funding team to develop and execute optimum financial strategies to ensure achievement of Bank goals and objectives.

Manages advance structuring, pricing and hedge execution for credit products originating in the Funding Desk business. Communicates market opportunities to the Funding Desk.

Coordinates with short term and long term Funding Desk optimal product offering and hedging strategies.

Works with National Accounts group to develop hedge execution and leverages off of national account activity.

Manages the Bank’s member education program, including the Asset/Liability Strategy workshops, annual member conference, and periodic educational forums.

Develops and maintains a relationship with swap and bond broker-dealers, including developing presentation and speaking opportunities.

Manages and coordinates departmental activities related to new advance product development, related system applications and infrastructure support, and works closely with the Structured Products Manager to ensure adequate controls and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
A Master’s degree in quantitative finance, and eight years experience in financial services sector, five years experience in managing capital markets exposure for swaps, options and debt capital markets portfolios of a large financial institution, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

Derivatives trading and pricing experience is required.

Thorough understanding of asset/liability management and risk management of mortgage portfolios.

Experience in a team-oriented sales culture.
