Director of Accounting

Responsibilities:
-Plan, prepare and coordinate all SEC reports required to support the company as a public filer including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
-Interface and coordinate with external auditors and facilitate their audit in support of a satisfactory audit opinion
-Provide guidance and leadership to divisions in accounting matters relating to preparation of financial statements
-Establish audit schedule and ensure adherence to schedule and quality of information provided to auditors
-Review public releases as applicable to ensure accuracy
-Research and implement all new accounting pronouncements or SEC regulations
-Support company activities in acquisition or financing activities
-Prepare or review financial statements of company’s joint ventures
- Support the Treasury department in obtaining any financing and fulfilling reporting requirements as necessary
-Support the Business Analysis department in providing actual results that support projections
-Support the Tax department in reporting and compliance matters
-Ensure that the financial control system is in place to adequately protect the company from financial reporting fraud and any material financial misstatements in any reports
-Ensure that the company’s financial reporting process is in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404
REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 10 to 12 years, senior manager with a Big 4 public accounting firm or public/private
CPA required
Reports to: Vice President and Controller
Other: Excellent communication, planning and organization skills are required. Experience with project accounting is required. Working knowledge of Hyperion is a plus.
