Job Description: This is a senior level project management position that will be responsible for a leading and managing the Portfolio Management team that provides Ratings Business Systems Services (RBSS) organization with the following benefits:

This position is responsible for 10 technology staff.



Ratings Business Systems Services (RBSS) is a part of Standard & Poor's Credit Market Services organization. RBSS technology team supports the Structured Finance (SF) and Corporates & Governments (C&G) Credit Ratings organizations with direct impact to over $1B in revenue. RBSS has partnered with the business to successfully create and deliver extensive analytical systems for its new deal ratings, surveillance, marketing, finance and data management functions.



The position reports directly to the VP of Ratings Business Systems Services (RBSS) and is based in New York, NY.





Job Responsibilities:

Prioritizing objectives and business systems plans. Owning the business systems plan, monitoring the plan and providing feedback to business partners on performance/status. Establishing the business requirements for service level agreements and business resumption plan. Creating and managing the RBSS business systems portfolio. Managing and directing the Desktop and Resource Management application development across CGS and SF. Overseeing a shared business systems analysis group across the Ratings BSS. Overseeing a group of hands-on technology project managers in a matrix reporting structure. Fostering professional PM best practices throughout the RBSS including in-house and off-shore expertise. Collaborating with the C&G, SF and Shared Business Services teams to identify the business processes and services for re-use across C&G and SF. Collaborating with the IT PMO and Centers of Excellence PMO organizations globally to ensure overall alignment and following S&P wide overarching PM best practices. Improving the overall PM execution capabilities including Global Off-shore initiatives. Oversees a staff that provides top-level expertise to executives, customers and core business functions on a wide variety of process redesign and/or re-engineering initiatives and projects through continuous process improvements. Oversees a staff that identifies and implements new and creative business and systems process redesigns for a wide variety of processes and strategies through facilitation and marketing. Consults as an expert for a wide variety of processes to perform evaluations and develop recommendations by use of benchmarks, pilots, prototyping and modeling to assess potential use of new methods and workflows across multiple business and/or system processes. REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA required, MBA preferred Solid 10+ years of formal Project Management Financial Services and/or Investment Business Experience Outsourcing and off-shore experience 5+ years experience with Business Analysis 4+ years experience with RUP PMI Certification is required Proficient at Business Process Definition and Documentation Superior written and verbal communications and presentation skills Clear communication of business systems direction and ability to drill down action plans from business vision and objectives Negotiating, conflict management, contracting, facilitating Closure - agreement solidification. Project management processes and methodologies. Project estimating, risk and change management.
