Director, Manager Research

Job Description & Responsibilities:


Investment Research is an important part of Prudential Investments'
value proposition. Manager Research is the most visible aspect of
Investment Research and this position is as an analyst in Manager
Research. Manager Research is responsible for the evaluation, search,
and selection (hire/fire) of all participating investment management
organizations.


A Manager will be involved in conducting research and due diligence
on investment managers for Prudential's multiple investment programs.
In addition, a Manager will have a role in the development and
integration of manager research into Prudential's overall
relationship effort. This includes the development and use of
analytical tools/software across functional lines, including manager
analysis, client profiling, asset allocation, performance measurement
and reporting, client education and product/program development.
Managers are expected to engage and act as a liaison with other
functional managers to help develop and support the direction of
Prudential's manager/product research efforts.


This position will focus on the research and analysis of mutual
funds, although coverage of managers for all investment programs is
necessary. In addition to covering individual funds/managers, the
position is focused on reviewing the overall product platforms,
recommending additions and changes to the fund line-up, and
interacting with mutual fund families.
