Director, Budgeting

Lionsgate has an immediate need for a Director of Budgeting in the Financial Planning & Analysis department, reporting to the Executive Director of FP&A. The position serves a critical role in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, in addition to overseeing the company’s financial planning and performance management system (OutlookSoft 4.1).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the quarterly financial planning process, help create and manage the annual operating and five year plans, providing analytical support to accounting and the financial reporting group during the quarterly close process, evaluate profit/loss (NPV, NRV, and IRR) for individual films and multi-picture portfolios, producing periodic management reports and preparing presentations to senior executives to support strategic and financial decisions.

Overseeing the financial planning and performance management system (Application Administrator role) entails maintaining dimension hierarchies, performing routine maintenance and working with the IT administrator to execute certain processes and troubleshoot technical difficulties, while establishing and maintaining systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years experience from a similar financial planning environment, preferably within the entertainment industry. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting and/or computer science. The position requires excellent written and communication skills as it is aligned as a business partner with various high-level executives throughout the organization. Experience with OLAP analysis tools (OutlookSoft, Hyperion) and/or SAP R3/BW strongly preferred. Must have outstanding Excel modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principals and be extremely conscientious & detailed oriented.
