Developer (Trading Systems)

· Testing comprehensive multi-tier trading software, including functional, performance, and installation testing
· Testing trading applications in a fast-paced environment
· Writing test plans/cases/scripts and documenting test results
· Entering and processing change requests for enhancements and bug fixes
· Building client and server executables for internal and external releases from the source code, and preparing and packaging releases and release instructions
· Upgrading and maintaining QA environments (including application servers and databases)
· Providing time estimates for various work products
· Interfacing with project management, development, technical support, and sales personnel as needed
· Assisting in customer implementation and acceptance testing as requested
· Training customers and other staff members in new feature as required
REQUIREMENTS


Minimum 3+ years of QA testing experience
· Excellent troubleshooting, isolation, and root-cause analysis skills
· Working knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and QA processes
· Experience using Test Director or other test management software
· Experience with automation and performance testing tools a plus
· Full competency with configuration management and bug tracking software (StarTeam experience preferable)
· Experience with a range of operating systems (UNIX, Windows NT), development tools (DELPHI, Java, XML, WebLogic), relational databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, Sybase), and hardware architectures
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work efficiently/effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
· Full competency with entire MS Office suite of software
· Knowledge of energy/commodity trading systems a definite plus
