Developer - Tax Systems

This contractor would be part of the Finance IT staff at client site. This is a technical team of approximately 50 people working in a project and support environment along with a team of finance staff members.

The IT team is a blend of client's IT staff and consultants from several large firms working closely in an office environment to conduct projects focused on financial reengineering.



Describe the Work:

•This individual will be responsible for developing and supporting the various information needs of our Tax Department.

•This individual may also assist in the process and system re-engineering efforts for our Tax Department.

•Preference will be given to individuals who are knowledgeable of:

- the vendor tax systems Corptax ETS and CS, Powerplan, Burr/Wolff PTS, CorpSales, Vertex.

- tax processes and systems and how they integrate into the various Accounting systems used within complex organizations.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful individual must have the ability to document and communicate complex designs to technical and functional staff (written and verbal) and the ability to influence and provide design direction.

Must have strong experience with production application support, experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2 and experience with formal project methodologies and technical lifecycle.

Must have prior experience installing and supporting Windows web and client-server vendor packages and developing and supporting Java web-based applications.

Other highly desired skills include:

Experience with Hyperion Enterprise, ESSBASE, and Reporting Knowledge. An understanding of Accounting and Tax systems both functionally and technically, experience with supporting a Tax
organization in a large corporation, experience with supporting production of the various functions within Tax (filing, provision, forecast), experience with MS Reporting & Analysis Services, C# and with mainframes systems,

Non-Tech Skills:
Strong teamwork skills!
