Credit Risk Analyst

Large Investment banks seeks an individual to evaluate and rate the credit risk of the counterparties and credit facilities arising from transactions putting capital at risk. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Providing support in the monitoring and evaluating a portfolio comprised of loan and derivatives exposures to credits in the various industries, including Consumer Products, Retail, Gaming & Lodging and Chemicals; Analyzing terms, structure and credit risk of loan requests; Conducting in depth due diligence sessions with financial sponsors and prospective borrowers in leveraged buyout and leveraged recapitalization situations; Producing financial base case and downside case models to assess borrower’s likelihood of repayment and default; Providing risk analysis to Senior Permissioners in the Credit Department for derivatives trade approvals; and assigning credit default ratings to counterparties which determines Firm’s risk appetite. Skills required: 3-5 years of Corporate Credit experience, as well as experience at one of the major rating agencies or Ratings Advisory Group of an Investment Bank.
