Cost Coordinator

Company: North America Mining Job Function: Accounting/Finance Job Description: Major Responsibilities The Cost Coordinator prepares and consolidates the budget for one or more Mine Departments. Responsibilities include analyzing financial variances between budgets and expenditures, building systems and mentoring operation employees in the preparation, interpretation and use of various financial data to achieve effective cost management. The Cost Coordinator is also responsible for acting as a cost information source with emphasis on identification and resolution of expenditure problems, training operation employees to correctly use the MIMS system, and ensuring that all accounting practices are applied ethically by Mine Personnel. The successful candidate will effectively interact with Accounting, Operations, MIMS personnel and vendors throughout both the Processing and Mine Organizations.Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field

Four (4) years experience in accounting, financial analysis or mine operations

Proficient in MIMS or equivalent experience in another enterprise resource planning software solution is required. (An ERP being a fully-integrated enterprise solution with functionality for asset management, work management, supply and logistics management, and financial management.).

Must possess database extraction (pivot table) skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Must possess strong data analysis and problem solving skills

Must be highly accurate and detail oriented

Strong oral and written communication skills

Must possess initiative, be organized and able to work well under pressure

Ability to work effectively in a teaming environment

Satisfactory attendance and safety record as outlined in the Guiding Principles

Must be eligible to transfer per the Guiding PrinciplesPreferred Qualifications - Previous experience building and utilizing cost models

Knowledge of Statistical Process Control

Experience in effectively presenting operational and financial data to Management~cb~
