Cost Accountant

SCHULTE Strong Home Storage (www.SCHULTEstorage.com), a rapidly expanding home organization products company with our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, has an need for a Cost Accountant at our Bloomington Manufacturing Campus. REQUIREMENTS
Description:- Develop and demonstrate technical expertise in accounting- Report business matters and practices specific to those plants, including, but not limited to cost accounting, reporting and accounting for manufacturing variances, restructuring activities, and inter-company accounting- Review monthly financial results and related disclosure schedules with plant controllers and local plant management prior to submission to Corporate Finance
- Assist the Vice President of Operations in resolving financial questions or issues related to costs of goods manufactured- Review financial information submitted for plant meetings- Monitor the design and effectiveness and test local internal controls and notify Corporate Finance of any changes in internal controls- Develop, review and understand budgets
Requirements:
This individual must be highly detail oriented and skilled with a PC and software package- A Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA a plus- 3+ years experience- Proficient Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Experience in designing, implementing and/or ensuring compliance with good internal controls.
