Corporate Controller

North Carolina company which is seeking to enhance their finance department is recruiting for a Corporate Controller. This position is responsible for directing the accounting activities of the Corporation, including preparation of internal financial reports for the guidance of management and financial statements issued to external parties.
REQUIREMENTS
Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare interim and final financial statements and related reports adhering to general accepted accounting principals, methods, and practices for managed contracts, and other related entities. Prepare additional financial reports and analyses for management for distribution to internal and external customers as needed. - Supervise day-to-day accounting staff including professional and clerical personnel. - Responsible for developing and monitoring internal controls and efficient accounting processes. - Responsible for maintenance of Company financial records. - Primary contact with external auditors as well as coordinating annual audit. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred. CPA designation preferred. Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems. Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of experience in financial management. Must have experience in health care industry. Major public accounting experience preferred. Excellent communications and customer service skills.
