Commercial Real Estate Lease Specialist

If you are a goal-oriented, focused individual with extensive skills and experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents, and are open to an opportunity in the Legal Department of our corporate headquarters, Charming Shoppes, Inc. has an immediate need for a Real Estate Lease Document Specialist.

Working under the supervision of an attorney, the Lease Specialist will draft lease amendments and other documentation, generate lease-related status reports, draft correspondence with landlords regarding maintenance and other lease-related issues, and draft estoppel certificates and Subordination, Non-disturbance and Attornment Agreements.

As a member of the Legal team, the selected individual will be responsible for:

•Analyzing leases and drafting amendments and other real estate documentation
•Following through on resolution of lease issues
•Generating written correspondence to landlords
•Tracking the status of documentation in a database
•Drafting Tenant Estoppel Certificates
•Drafting and negotiating Subordination, Non-disturbance and Attornment Agreements
•Ongoing communication and interaction with Maintenance and Real Estate departments regarding lease related issuesJob Requirements
The Selected Individual must have:
•At least 3 years experience in reviewing commercial and/or retail leasing documentation
•Strong analytical skills in reviewing, and interpreting lease documents
•Excellent oral and written communications skills
•Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
•Associate or Bachelors Degree
