Collections/Credit Analyst

West Coast Beauty Systems, part of the Beauty Systems Group, is the largest full-service distributor of wholesale beauty products in the world. Our corporate office is located in Benicia, California. We do business in 13 Midwest and Western states with over 200 Salon Consultants. We also have over 100 professional-only stores to serve our customers throughout the U.S. West Coast Beauty Systems is seeking a Full-time, Credit/Collections Analyst. This is an ideal entry level job for someone looking to gain experience in the finance and credit fields.

Primary functions & efforts required:
Evaluates and determines credit worthiness and risk level of new accounts, ability to establish credit limits based on credit history and good judgement;
Review and monitor customer past-due accounts while reviewing customer credit limits;
Communicates company policies to customers, Salon Consultants, and managers;
Resolve policy conflicts within established guidelines
Evaluate delinquent accounts for collectability and establish payment arrangements;
Research disputed items with Customer Service, Branch Managers, Account Receivable, and Salon Consultants, and follow-up on these items as needed;
Consults with Credit Manager regarding problem accounts;
Prepare uncollectable accounts for third party collections.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Payable preferred;
1 year in a Commercial Credit environment preferred;
PC literate with knowledge of MS Office Suite;
Type 55 wpm, have 10 key experience;
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs;
Recommended AS 400 knowledge preferred but not mandatory.
