Clinical Business Analyst

SUMMARY:

The Clinical Business Analyst will work closely with and report directly to the Executive Director of Clinical Analytics in the execution of the goals and objectives of the Clinical Analytics group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Provides analytical expertise in the development of clinically focused reports
•Analyzes trends in drug utilization patterns and costs
•Assesses the impact of benefit design changes, formulary and rebate modifications
•Benchmarks and analyzes the rebate administration program
•Refine existing analytical models and database queries as appropriate
•Validation of source data and interpretation of report results
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative based field (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Math, Statistics)
•Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MBA) a plus but not required
•2+ years of relevant work experience in pharmacy and/or healthcare analysis and reporting
•Pharmacy Benefit Management, Healthcare or Managed Care experience preferred
•Health outcomes and/or pharmacoeconomic modeling experience a plus but not required
•Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
•Familiarity with writing SQL database queries
