Cash Accountant

Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Department at our Appleton location. This is an entry level accountant position. This role will work primarily with cash function, a multi-million dollar cash operation involving all Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers locations. Duties will include, but not be limited to, reconciling cash to the subsystem and general ledger, apply cash to customer accounts, monitoring internal controls, month end journal entries and working with banks on cash processing.
REQUIREMENTS


The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Experience is a plus. The candidate should have strong communication skills, excellent analytical skills, be detail-orientated, have exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
