At our tertiary care hospital, you'll encounter the meaningful challenges you seek. Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for enhancing and maintaining a properly functioning Cash Application Department and incorporating the facility?s values into all cash application development practices and departmentally directed activities. Critical responsibilities include monitoring departmental progress achieving cash application goals, maintaining the integrity of cash and A/R transactions to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable balances, maintaining and distributing the cash application dashboard, reconciling daily bank batch postings with deposits, and allocating cash application responsibilities to available cash posting staff. The Supervisor should be aware of the balance of the unidentified and credit balance accounts and ensure that these accounts are being worked daily to avoid any potential backlogs. The Cash Application Supervisor should also be knowledgeable on posting payment and adjustment data onto patient accounts, processing electronic remittances, maintaining petty cash, and timely processing of refunds. Supervisor will be responsible for training incoming employees, as well as providing ongoing training to existing staff as needed. This position must be in compliance with all cash related procedures and financial control policies set by PCH finance department. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must have at least 3 years previous experience in a hospital setting working with bank deposits and balancing to daily cash receipts utilizing a centralized computer-based patient admission or billing system; AMPFM or SCM platform preferred. 2. Ability to manage and Supervisor staff, provide direction, answer questions and be a resource for the department 3. Ability to operate data entry keyboard and ten key calculator 4. Ability to type on a keyboard at a minimum speed of 55 words per minute 5. Ability to read, review and comprehend Explanation of Benefits documentation and post contractual adjustments appropriately 6. Excellent math, organizational, verbal communication skills 7. Ability to work under pressure and meet guidelines 8. Ability to analyze and problem solve 9. Ability to identify long range effect of user problems 10. Ability to handle multiple high priority responsibilities 11.
