The Deloitte FAS Valuation practice comprises more than 300 full-time appraisers, financial analysts, accountants, economists, statisticians, and industry specialists in the U.S.  Together with our affiliates in the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu ("DTT") network of member services, we have performed valuation and financial consulting services for clients all over the world.  With more than 800 valuation professionals in over 40 countries, the DTT network can assemble international teams to effectively and
efficiently meet our clients' needs. 
 
Our Valuation Services practice features a vast network of professionals in the U.S. through Deloitte FAS and the other Deloitte U.S. entities, and abroad through the DTT member firms and their affiliates. We possess seamless delivery capabilities, deep financial and accounting acumen and robust industry experience. Our Valuation professionals help companies define, measure and articulate the value of their assets by providing independent and well-supported valuations.  We help clients to properly quantify and articulate values for taxation, transaction, financing, litigation, and strategic management purposes. We understand the requirements associated with the development of value conclusions under GAAP, tax, and regulatory rules that allow companies to understand the value of an entity, asset, or liability so they can make informed business and investment decisions.  Key services include: Business Valuation, Engineering & Depreciation Advisory, Equipment
Advisory, Construction Advisory, Real Estate Financial Advisory, Lease Advisory, Dispute Resolution Support, and Reorganization Advisory Support.
 
The Los Angeles or Costa Mesa Valuation Services practice services leading companies in the high technology and life sciences industries with emphasis on the valuation of securities and intellectual property for financial reporting purposes.
 Associate Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of financial analysis, valuation or directly related experience
- Recent BA graduate with finance, accounting, or economics degree earned in 2003 - 2005
- Ability to perform company and industry research and analysis required
- Basic understanding of business, finance and accounting concepts and financial statement analysis
- Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling and fundamental research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, innovative, and flexible with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced,
relatively unstructured environment
