Business Analyst

McCamish Systems, LLC, an Atlanta, GA based company, is a leading provider of world-class state-of-the-art enterprise software to financial institutions that distributes life insurance, annuities and non-qualified benefit plans and we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst. This person will serve as an expert in providing complex business and processing expertise for McCamish products. Specific expertise resides in application of knowledge regarding variable annuities, variable life, corporate insurance markets, defined contribution plan administration, and corporate non-qualified benefit plans. Will also assist in providing expert guidance on new product development to prospective clients and internal resources. Responsibilities and DutiesPerforms a business analysis role in providing system and industry expertise during procurement and formulation of client’s system and design requirementsGathers and defines the end user’s business requirementsProvides estimates for system enhancements based on the client’s business needsParticipates in analytical sessions during design whiteboardsDevelops detailed business scope and business specification documents for more complex system enhancementsDocuments, performs and validates functional testingSupports the analysis, technical and quality assurance members of the project teamPerforms internal and external walkthroughs of business specification documentsDevelops test plan, test design, and test case documentsPerforms internal and external walkthroughs of testing documentsPerforms regression, system, functional, usability and integration testingValidates expected results and provides output for internal and external client sign-offSupports model office and user acceptance testingDefines and reports testing issues and supports re-testing effortsHandles multiple aspects of project(s) simultaneouslyRoutinely addresses critical problems, researches complex problems and resolves them through development of specialized solutionsCoordinates testing among multiple team members, assumes responsibility for functional testing, and remains apprised of any testing issues throughout the project life cycleDevelops and documents training materials. REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience RequirementsSix (6) plus years in the insurance, annuity, or mutual funds industries and/or three (3) plus years experience with McCamish Systems or related productsIn-depth knowledge of the annuity/variable product administration, corporate insurance and/or defined contribution administration industriesUnderstands the Software Development Life Cycle Methodology
