Audit Manager - CPA

Gunn & Company, P.A. is a Jacksonville FL based regional CPA Firm that is an independent member of RSM McGladrey Network. As part of the RSM McGladrey Network, Gunn & Company provides our staff with access to the resources, experience, and professional knowledge base of an international accounting firm while still providing our clients with the level of personal service and attention of a local CPA firm.

We are looking for an Audit Manager with 5 to 8 years of recent audit experience who can work closely with the Audit Partner to takeover and oversee the daily management of the audit practice. The right person will have tremendous opportunity for advancement. This position is perfect for a CPA who is interested in eventually being a partner at a local CPA firm. Our audit practice has a strong presence in the construction industry of Northeast Florida. Experience in construction accounting is a strong plus.

Some of the job functions are as follows:
•Oversee in the planning and execution of full scope audit, review and compilation engagements.
•Interact closely with Audit Partner and clients.
•Strong working knowledge of GAAS and GAAP.
•Make oral and written presentations to client management.
•Review and document engagement procedures within a paperless audit software system.

REQUIREMENTS
The minimal job requirements are as follows:

•5 to 8 years recent public accounting audit experience.
•CPA and recent public accounting audit experience.
•Certified in Florida, or plan for meeting FL certification requirements.
•Experience in construction industry preferred.
•Supervisory experience a plus.
•Self-motivated, hard-working attitude.
