Focus on PeopleManage deployment of all Assurance managers, seniors and staff to client engagements.Appropriately assign managers and seniors and staff to all clients, balancing client needs and complexity with level of experience and skill set.
Utilize resources (across groups, regions, etc.) to respond to critical needs, spread workload and minimize overtime.
Maintain list of clients and partner and manager assignments.Career Management/DevelopmentCreate/recognize and convert opportunities for managers to expand their skill set.
Ensure that all partner candidates are afforded appropriate exposure opportunities.
Identify resources for foreign, domestic and technical tours-of-duty/secondments, transfers, risk and quality reviews, peer reviews and special projects.
Identify appropriate candidates to participate in Firm sponsored initiatives.
Ensure timely counseling and performance feedback for all members of assurance team.
Support the flexible work arrangement program and monitor time in the program.Manage the Annual Review, promotion and compensation process.Ensure that all performance appraisals are complete and included in the PC&D database.
Facilitate the ARC process for the Assurance practice, assisting staff and coaches with files and providing guidance on the process.
Review all files and proposed classification, ratings and promotion for each group based upon performance specific feedback and non-engagement activities and achievements.
Prepare and manage the compensation process by applying National guidance in setting base compensation and incentive compensation for practiceFocus on the FirmMeet with each partner and manager in the office and continually update information in Retain
Update scheduling information/client lists.
Make assessment of headcount needs, including campus recruits, experienced hires, etc.
Participate in office visits as needed, including campus hires and experienced hires
Assimilate new hires into the office
Participate in connectivity meetings and work with Connectivity leader to prepare agenda items, preparation of
Quarterly "Meeting in a Box" presentation to include local informationReportingPrepare monthly forecast
Report of chargeable hours, total hours and overtime hours
Report on utilization targets vs. forecast and budget
Report on Turnover
Report on senior associate pipeline, manager pipeline, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree requiredEssential Requirements:
inimum of 5 years of work experience suggested; professional service firm experience would be most applicable Experience in Human Resources or in a resource management or deployment position would be beneficial, but not required Team oriented; ability to work with staff and management Project management skills; ability to manage multiple constituency groups and tasks in a deadline oriented environment; care and concern for people Negotiation skills, good written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills Attention to detail; ability to prioritize Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality and sensitive information Some overtime required
