Previous experience in the Insurance industry is preferred, but not required. The selected candidate must obtain an Illinois Broker's license within 90 days of employment.
Position DescriptionAdminister current National Flood Insurance Program and work with Executive VP in the marketing and development of the program with NFIP carriers and AJG Branches to meet Departmental growth objectivesDevelop expertise in the area of Flood to be able to assist clients in using alternative methods to solve flood problems with alternatives other than insuranceProvide flood related support to other Unit & RPS brokers as neededAssist other Unit members with data support services as requiredSupport Executive VP on various accounts as neededMeet with producers and clients as respects the Flood Program to provide a better understanding of program coverage and optionsMaintain Program information within the AJG PortalSupport Executive VP as needed to meet the goals and objectives of RPS-Itasca and of the SMI division overall
REQUIREMENTS
Position RequirementsCollege degree preferredPrior insurance experience not required, but would be a plusSelf-motivated, must be able to work independently and possess a high energy levelStrong verbal and written communication skills, analytical, problem solving and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesExcellent computer skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Capabilities in Power Point and Access a plusAbility to focus on team and individual goalsUnderstanding of, and commitment to keeping current of industry trends, concepts, practices, and productsSome travel may be involvedMust obtain Illinois Brokers license within 90 days of employmentArthur J.
