Lead a team of Account Executives in the solicitation of residential loans from approved mortgage brokers in a given territory. Work with A/E’s on the team to meet/exceed GPM sales goals and obtain maximum market penetration in a given territory. Solicit loans in a manner that develops long-term, empathetic business relationships that meet/exceed company goals for (a) volume and quality of loans and (b) acceptable funding and lock-delivery ratios as set forth by GPM. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of GreenPoint Mortgage products & operational systems, in order to educate brokers/staff regarding those products & systems via formal presentations and frequent contact. Review loan packages with mortgage brokers to determine conformity to GreenPoint Mortgage guidelines. Monitor individual mortgage-broker production levels, funding ratios, lock-delivery performance, and operational citizenship to determine whether broker should remain on the approved list. Monitor status of loan packages in the pipeline; interface with mortgage brokers and GreenPoint Mortgage operational staff to facilitate a smooth, working relationship. Contact mortgage brokers not on GreenPoint Mortgage approved broker list to determine whether they meet company guidelines for approval, but limiting such solicitation to mortgage brokers within the geographical area assigned by GreenPoint Mortgage. Provide sales and marketing ideas to enhance the company’s ability to meet and exceed its goals and objectives. Distribute rate sheets, program and/or guideline updates, etc., to mortgage brokers. Obtain and maintain licenses required by local or state agencies and provide GreenPoint Mortgage with evidence thereof.Essential Skills
Ability to sustain required loan volume in assigned territory. Working knowledge of mortgage finance and real estate lending operations; knowledge of investor guidelines, underwriting policies and GreenPoint Mortgage loan products; knowledge of escrow/title practices and basic laws applicable to mortgage lending and real estate transactions; previous sales experience; college degree or equivalent work experience. Effective interpersonal and communications skills; well-developed customer-service skills; ability to organize and prioritize details; ability to complete multiple tasks on schedule; ability to problem-solve and exercise independent judgment while displaying a high degree of initiative; ability to function as a committed team player; ability to work productively under minimal supervision.
