The candidate in this role will be responsible for leading applications sourcing projects for Cargill's global IT Function.

Principal accountabilities are as follows:Will develop and implement the strategic sourcing and service provider relationship strategies for Cargill's applications environment. Coordinate all applications alternative sourcing activity within Cargill and ensures it is aligned with Cargill's sourcing strategy. Lead the preparation of major proposals and develop business case for the optimal sourcing mix that meets business needs and leverages global talent sourcing capability. Responsible for ensuring the team negotiates favorable contract terms and conditions to meet Cargill's business requirements. Lead project teams to explore opportunities to transition selected tasks of applications development and maintenance to alternative sourcing strategies. Build strong project teams with appropriate resources to ensure that projects achieve expected business results and are completed on time and within budget. Participate in the development of applications sourcing policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS


Required Skills & Behaviors:Minimum of 7 - 10 years work experience managing IT teams in the applications development and maintenance area. Four-year degree required. Must have previous experience managing projects of $500,000 or more. Experience successfully leading projects to alternatively source selected tasks related to applications development and maintenance. Experience leading alternative sourcing application development maintenance projects that significantly leverage global sourcing capabilities. Prior leadership role in the negotiation of sourcing agreements with global applications service providers. Must be very knowledgeable regarding applications development and maintenance processes and be able to develop process maps. Strong interpersonal skills and with keen ability to influence others. Previous experience leading major changes in processes and culture. History in building strong project teams that deliver on expected business results. Knowledgeable regarding package ERP environments. Must have relentless determination and courage to make things happen. Must act with respect, candor, and commitment. Must be able and willing to challenge, innovate, change. Must be adaptable.
