Analyst/Production Support

Contract Opportunity for someone with excellent communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help quickly identify and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of the IT systems. Candidate must have intimate knowledge of or be able to quickly learn our enterprise level systems and applications. The candidate will have knowledge of WebLogic, J2EE, Tibco products, and IBM MQ Series (Tibco and MQ are desired). Must possess a working knowledge of multiple Unix platforms and scripting knowledge with Shell and PERL. Must possess strong time and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for any/all activities involved in the deployment and/or support of the Common Services (CS) Middleware application components. The expectation is 100% uptime for all of these CS applications. The scope may include working directly with the application developers and clients to troubleshoot prod problems, to collect Capacity data, to collect and analyze statistics and develop trends, to develop/maintain appropriate monitoring, to develop/maintain reporting and the reporting tools, to develop/maintain documentation. This job also includes on-call responsibilities - this means that there will be some weekend and the on-call rotation may include 7x24 support for specified periods of time.
