Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to; continuous proactive and productive endeavor to improve efficiency and accuracy of processes primarily related to cost accounting in production, inventory accounts and reserves but also others within responsibility of this position. Proactively informs Controller about potential issues and ongoing non-conformances, which cannot be solved by own means.Continuous attentiveness and safeguarding that overseen financial activities comply with current corporate and general accounting principles and tax regulations. Preparation and analysis of routine (monthly) reporting in an accurate and timely manner in regards to all internal value added processes and its results in a comprehensive sense - production absorption report, production variance reports, Process Development projects/entries, inventory trend reports. li>Maintenance, administration, record keeping and reconciliation of all assigned balance sheet accounts (in particular reserves) , which includes preparation of monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries. In addition, Work closely with outside Auditors to ensure the integrity of Company financial information. Perform other duties as assigned.li>Update and maintain Standard Costs in the current mainframe financial software (BPCS).li> REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:The Analyst III, Cost Accounting position represents a competent interface between Finance and the entire internal value added process from purchasing to sales. To transform operational, productive processes into accurate financial information. A BS or MS in Accounting is required. In addition the qualified candidate must have experience in financial and capital reporting, as well as budgeting. Must have five or more years in financial reporting and accounting in a manufacturing environment with complex and capital intensive processes. Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel and MS Project. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.
