Accounts Receivable Administrator (Hoffman Estates, IL)


Job Description

Collection of assigned domestic trade Service Accounts Receivable portfolio; Document daily collection activities, formulate collection strategies, and develop repayment plan schedules to maintain collection requirements as outlined in the quarterly quality and cash forecasts/targets.

Conduct complex account reconciliation. Work with Credit analyst in establishing proper credit blocks, new customer credit limits.

Analyze delinquent accounts and identify possible bad debt risks.

Research and resolve billing discrepancies, cash application errors, contract disputes.

Prepare statements and other supporting documentation as needed to insure timely account payments.

Communicate and interact with Sales, Service, Field personnel, Customer Service, Shipping, Tax, Accounts Payable teams to correct and resolve issues relating to customer non payments/billing errors.

Preferred Profile

High School diploma mandatory; 2+ years higher education with discipline in accounting, finance and/or business preferred.

2 to 3 years experience in commercial collections in manufacturing/healthcare environment.

Excellent business communication skills, both oral and written.

Strong ability to create and maintain account relationships while effectively collecting on past due balances.

Strong ability to establish task priorities, work independently, and identify and accomplish position objectives with limited supervision; extremely organized.

Must be able to work well within a team-based environment and assist in training of new or less experienced team members.

SAP software experience preferred. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products desired.
