Responsibilities:

Chicago Heights, IL. Fortune 500 Manufacturer of pallet rack and shelving systems currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work in a fast pace environment. This candidate must be able to work in a fast pace environment, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to monitor own work to ensure quality, comply with all company quality programs, control nonconforming processes and/or product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Excellent candidate that compiles and maintains accurate accounts payable records by performing the following duties:

Job Description:
•Checks and approves all vouchers for payment, answers all vendor inquiries

•Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted


•Prepares accounts payable checks, prints all accounts payable reports, including bank extract report and maintains all accounts payable files

•Prepares analysis of accounts, keeps files organized and voided checks in order

•Enters new vendors into computer database, processes employee expense reports

•Ability to interpret operating as well as maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

•Assists in monthly closings, calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume.

•Must have working knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems;Database software; Internet software; inventory software,

•Spreadsheets software and word-processing software.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
•Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

•Minimum 2 years accounts payable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
