Senior Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Staff Accountant will assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, and procedures relating to financial management and budgeting. This individual will prepare monthly Financial Package for Senior Management and Board of Directors consisting of actual results vs. forecast, budget, and prior year. In addition, the Staff Account will assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements through the processing of journal entries and the preparation of supporting analysis


RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide assistance with physical inventories and cycle counts
-Prepare daily and weekly Flash Report
- Assist in the preparation of multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Prepare daily cash report -Reconcile accounts in the General Ledger
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Facilitate cross training of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable staff so as to provide adequate departmental back-up
- Back-up payroll and essential controller functions
- Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting Reconcile intercompany accounts between OPCO and LLC on a monthly basis.
- Maintain fixed asset subledger
- Special projects as assigned REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- CPA Preferred
- Proficient in Great Plains Accounting System a must
- Strong PC skills including Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently
