ATTORNEY - Transactional

Excellent opportunity for PARTNERSHIP within a relatively short time frame. The right individual will do exceptionally well.This Attorney performs a variety of transactional matters for clients and handles buying & selling agreements, mergers, real estate, contracts, labor matters, general business matters, and estate planning.Interprets and analyzes contracts, business structures, legal issues, and other operational issues. Drafts and modifies contract templates including acceptable alternatives. Conducts legal research; supervises and trains contract paralegals and maintains considerable contact with clients. The attorney also participates in the firm’s business development efforts. The attorney may be assigned to work independently or under the direct supervision of other attorney(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews and analyzes association governing documents, statutes and case law, contracts, insurance policies, real estate documents and maps in order to advise, counsel and provide legal representation to clients• Drafts necessary documents to provide legal representation to clients, including but not limited to, contracts, opinion letters, and governing documents• Performs necessary legal research using all available resources including libraries and computer data systems• Formulates and issues well-founded written and verbal opinions to clients• Effectively conducts negotiations, when appropriate, to resolve matters on behalf of clients• Advises and communicates regularly with clients in person, via phone, e-mail and written correspondence regarding the status of their matter
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS• Approximately 7-10 or more years of progressively more responsible transactional experience in most of the following areas: real estate, corporations and other business entities, contracts, banking, estate planning and probate• Analytical skills necessary to conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively communicate in person, in writing, by e-mail and telephone with Association managers and board members who have little or no legal training or knowledge• WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Westlaw• No known allergies to meeting reasonable billing requirements (minimum 150 hours per month)
