UTILITY WORKER

To provide vital support to the Food Service Department by maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, china, glassware, flatware and back-of-house work area. Maintains the food storeroom under the direction of the Executive Chef and executes special projects for the Executive Chef. Set up public areas as requested by management. Help in dining area as directed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Able to perform strenuous physical labor, lifting, etc.
2. Basic math skills are required.

Reports to: Executive Chef
(or Sous Chef in the absence of the Executive Chef)

DUTIES
1. Ware washing
2. Pot washing.
3. Deep cleans of kitchen and equipment.
4. Receives, stores, issues items from food storeroom.
5. Rotates stock in storeroom.
6. Maintains cleanliness of storeroom.
7. Set-up work for special events.
8. General “heavy labor” as required by Executive Chef.
9. Helps as directed in cleaning and re-setting tables in the Dining Room.
10. Helps with pouring beverages in Dining Room as needed.
11. Maintains all sanitation policies and procedures such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
12. Other duties as assigned.
