UTILITY WORKER

Purpose:
Performs dish room washing responsibilities and other cleaning and supply functions. Under direct supervision is responsible for making a limited range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updating manager on a regular basis.
Disassembles customers’ trays from the Cafeteria trayveyor.
Places dishes, silverware, trays, etc., into the dishwasher, removes and stock clean items, and returns them to the Cafeteria.
Cleans dish room, dishwasher, and storage areas.
Disposes of trash.
Mops and cleans work area.
Assists in transporting food orders from the loading dock to the storeroom, refrigerators, and storage areas. Dates and puts items in their proper place.
Maintains soft drink machines and ice dispensers in the Cafeteria.
Does heavy cleaning of equipment and ventilation system.
Fills in when Pot Washer is absent.
Assists with preparation of foods in hot and cold production.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Experience Requirements:
Proven experience adapting and demonstrating flexibility associated with changes to policies/procedures.
Demonstrated ability to understand and follow directions.
Must provide examples of handling effectively routine situations while maintaining high volumes of work.
Must provide examples that demonstrate dependability and dedication to work processes.
