Technician, Repair and Maintenance

Premium Standard Farms is a vertically integrated pork producer, controlling every aspect of the pork production process, including repair and maintenance of our facilities.
Technicians for Repair and Maintenance will perform any combination of following tasks to maintain facility and equipment of swine production:
Provides scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment
Inspects, adjusts, and repairs equipment and building structures in the facilities
Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to gain access to problem area
Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair
May set up and operate metal working equipment and tools, such as lathe, drill press, grinder, or welder, to make or repair parts
Analyzes and resolves machinery and equipment problems, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and mechanics
Operates fork truck using hand and foot controls

REQUIREMENTS
Requires current, valid drivers license
Must have previous maintenance experience
The employee is required to: stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor, exert 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or, exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or, exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
The employee is subject to:high noise levels, physical hazards, breathing dust, skin exposure to various chemicals and oils, and some exposure to outdoor climate
